Senior Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and forward-thinking post-16 educational setting supporting learners aged 16 to 18. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference every day.
Working hours: 8.45am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Support learners in and out of the classroom

Promote independence, engagement and positive behaviour

Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning

Act as a positive role model and mentor for young people
Requirements
-
Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting learners with SEN
-
Confident supporting young people aged 16 to 18
-
Must be able to drive due to the school’s location

Calm, patient and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
