Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and forward-thinking post-16 educational setting supporting learners aged 16 to 18. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference every day.

Working hours: 8.45am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support learners in and out of the classroom

  • Promote independence, engagement and positive behaviour

  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning

  • Act as a positive role model and mentor for young people


Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting learners with SEN

  • Confident supporting young people aged 16 to 18

  • Must be able to drive due to the school’s location

  • Calm, patient and proactive approach

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
