Part-Time SENDCO – Primary School in Northolt
Advertised through Teaching Personnel

A well-regarded and inclusive primary school located in Northolt (UB5) is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced SENDCO on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to contribute to a supportive school environment that prioritises the needs of all learners.

The Role:

  • Position: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO)

  • Working Pattern: Part-time – three days per week

  • Start Date: [Insert start date or “as soon as possible”]

  • Contract Type: Ongoing, with the potential to become long-term or permanent

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the strategic development of the school’s SEND provision

  • Coordinating support for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities

  • Managing and reviewing EHCPs

  • Liaising with external agencies and working closely with staff and families

  • Supporting teachers in adapting planning and teaching to meet individual needs

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • NASENCO qualification (or currently undertaking) is highly desirable

  • Experience working as a SENDCO or in a similar SEN leadership role

  • Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills

  • A clear understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current best practices
