Job description

SEND Tutor – Empower Pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties

Do you have a strong background supporting young people with complex learning difficulties such as Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)? We are seeking a dedicated SEND Tutor to work with secondary pupils currently operating at KS1 (Entry Level 1 to 2).

Your Role:

  • Deliver tailored lessons that respond to each pupil’s specific learning profile

  • Provide patient, flexible support that adapts to pupils’ evolving needs

  • Foster confidence and academic progress through empathetic, needs-led teaching

  • Collaborate closely with pupils, families, and professionals to ensure holistic support

What We Need From You:

  • Significant experience working with young people with complex learning difficulties, including FASD

  • A passion for helping pupils overcome barriers and thrive academically

  • A pupil-centred approach, always prioritising individual needs above all else

  • Adaptability and flexibility in approach and scheduling to meet changing demands

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
