Are you looking for a behaviour support role where you can impact on learning and behaviour?

Could you see yourself working in a 1:1 capacity, building a strong relationship with the child and parents?

If you answered YES to the above questions then please do not hesitate to contact me in the office.

The Head teacher at a school, in Nelson (BB9) have approached Teaching Personnel to source a specialist support assistant who has strong behaviour management and experience working alongside an individual child with challenging behaviour.

The child is due to arrive in school in September 2023 and from previous experience upon starting a new school, has not settled well. With this in mind, the Head teacher has promptly put an action plan in place for a member of staff to support the child using a structure and routine which doesn’t enable him to disrupt others, hence the position opening for a temporary member of staff.

You must:

- TEAM TEACH qualification that is in date.

- Have a Level 2 or above Teaching and Learning qualification.

- Have recent experience in the last 12 months working alongside primary aged children.

- Be able to provide at least two education based references from your most recent employers; preferably HEAD and SENCO or DEPUTY.

- Be able to take up a full time teaching assistant position in a Nelson school.

You must have the enthusiasm and commitment to work alongside a child with particularly aggressive behaviour.

The role will be to start as of October 2023. The working hours are 8:30-15:30. You will also be expected to work during lunchtime for 30 minutes.
