Salary: GBP57-GBP65 a day

Part Time/Full Time

A lovely Special Needs School just outside the Almonsbury area are seeking to appoint a caring, conscientious individual who has a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs. The school aims to deliver a relevant, individualised and meaningful curriculum to nurture and develop their learning capacities, enabling them to enjoy a good quality of life through healthy living and positive relationship with peers, adults and their community.

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you must have a natural aptitude on the behaviour management and interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner. You must be able to have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Job Description:

• SEND Teaching Assistant
• Working with a range of pupils with Special Education Needs (SEN) and Learning Difficulties.
• Working 1:1 and group support
• Support students with their education and overcome barriers to learning

About you:

• Must have a passion or interest in working with children with (PMLD) and (SLD)
• Experience with SEND and complex learning difficulties is essentiall
• Possess good behaviour management skills
• Must posses a TEAM TEACH qualification (or willing to be upskilled)
• Proactive and happy to self direct
• Demonstrate effective communication with both children and staff
• Empathy, Patience and Committed
