Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities through their education. Teaching Personnel is now recruiting for multiple roles, across County Durham (DH2) area from the beginning of September for KS1.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Working one-to-one with students to support them through their daily schedule, transitioning them from lessons and breaks
  • Providing targeted support to various special educational needs
  • Supporting students through their social development and ensuring their emotional wellbeing
  • Assisting with the creation and planning of personalised learning plans
  • Working with teachers and SENCOs to work towards maintaining and furthering the inclusivity of the classroom environment
  • Creating an encouraging safe learning experience that students can thrive within

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEND requirements
  • Familiarity and understanding of SEND approaches
  • Patient, empathetic nature and passion for supporting learners
  • High level of communication and teamwork skills

These are full-time roles with the potential for long-term or permanent placements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
