Location: Bedale

We’re working with a well-regarded SEND school in Bedale that is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils who face barriers to learning and help them thrive in a structured, supportive environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Encouraging emotional regulation and positive social interaction

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH/SEND needs
  • A calm, compassionate, and consistent approachStrong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine desire to support students in overcoming challenges
  • Team Teach or similar training (desirable but not essential)

This role is perfect for those with experience in education, youth work, care, or behaviour support—and those looking to build a career in SEND.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
