SEND Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Supply)

Start Date: January
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Bedale

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We’re looking for a passionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team through a trusted supply agency. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in a caring, inclusive environment where every day brings new rewards.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, helping them achieve their full potential
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
  • Providing personal care when required, always with dignity and respect
  • Working closely with teachers and staff to create a positive learning experience
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development

What we’re looking for:

  • Empathetic and patient, with a genuine desire to help children thrive
  • Adaptable and resilient, ready to handle challenges with a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • A team player who works well with colleagues and professionals
  • Understanding of SEND needs such as autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting inclusion

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a SEND setting is desirable
  • Ability to provide personal care support when needed
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
