SEND Teacher
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a welcoming mixed primary and secondary special educational needs school based in Bamber Bridge, Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or aspiring SEN specialist to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people with additional learning needs.
Position: SEN Teacher
 Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
 Contract: Temporary to Permanent
 Start Date: ASAP or January start
About the Role:
 You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and communication challenges. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior staff to support each learner’s academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Plan and deliver tailored lessons suited to pupils’ abilities and EHCP targets
 - 
Use positive behaviour management strategies to support engagement and wellbeing
 - 
Work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals to ensure holistic progress
 - 
Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
 - 
Monitor and record pupil progress effectively
 
Requirements:
- 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
 - 
Previous experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEN
 - 
Strong communication and classroom management skills
 - 
A patient, creative, and resilient approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
