Teaching Assistant with Autism spectrum disorder experience
Location: Nottingham
Contract: part time/day to day/full time
Candidate: Must have SEN experience (ASD experience desirable)
Teaching personnel are working closely with a specialist school in nottingham who support students aged 5-19 years old who have a primary diagnosis of autism or in some cased evidence of behaviours which are in accordance with such a diagnosis. All students have associated learning difficulties within the moderate to severe range. The school is an independent specialist school.
The school has places for 94 full time students aged between 3and 19 years old. The site is purpose built which is structured into lower, middle and upper schools to provide age appropriate education across the foundation stage, key stages 1,2,3,4 and post 16. They provide extremely well equipped sensory rooms, extensive training facilities, break-out teaching pods and specialised teaching areas.
In order to be considered:
- Must have experience working with young people.
- Must have experience working with SEN (ASD preferably)
- Have a passion for education.
- Hold a current and clear DBS or willing to do a new one.
