Job Title: SEN Tutor - Qualified

Location: Bedfordshire, Bedford

Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' academic and social development
  • Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with students with SEN
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting students with diverse learning needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of SEN policies and practises
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in SEN or related field
  • Experience in using assistive technology to support students with SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
