Join TP Tutors as an English Tutor – Make a Real Difference Outside the Classroom
Are you passionate about English and making a difference in young lives? TP Tutors is seeking dedicated and compassionate English Tutors to support students who are currently outside mainstream school placements.
About the Role
As an English Tutor with TP Tutors, you will work on a one-to-one or small group basis with students who require additional support with their learning. These students may be in alternative provisions, learning from home, or awaiting suitable school placements. Your role will be vital in helping them stay engaged with education, develop confidence, and achieve their potential in English.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, tailored English tuition sessions (KS3–KS4 level)

Plan engaging and personalised lessons to meet individual learning needs

Track progress and provide regular feedback to TP Tutors and guardians

Build trust and rapport with learners, often in sensitive or challenging situations
Ideal Candidate
-
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum (GCSE level desirable)
-
Teaching or tutoring experience (QTS, PGCE, or relevant tutoring experience)
-
Empathetic, patient, and able to motivate disengaged learners
-
Confident working independently and managing your own schedule

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
