SEN Tutor & Mentorship Roles Required – Loughborough Area

Make a Lasting Difference to a Young Person’s Life

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking compassionate and experienced individuals to provide 1:1 SEN tutoring and mentoring support to pupils across the Loughborough area.

We work closely with Local Authorities, schools, and families to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who require tailored academic and pastoral support outside of, or alongside, mainstream education. Sessions are delivered in pupils’ homes, schools, or alternative educational settings during school hours.

The Role

As an SEN Tutor & Mentor, you will:
• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual needs.
• Provide mentoring support to develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.
• Adapt learning strategies to meet a range of SEND needs.
• Support pupils with academic progress, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
• Track, assess, and report on pupil progress against learning objectives.
• Build trusting and supportive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals.
• Help pupils re-engage with learning and develop independence.


We Are Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Teachers, SEN tutors, teaching assistants, mentors, youth workers, or support workers.
• Strong understanding of differentiated and inclusive learning approaches.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable individuals.
• Passionate about making a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
