SEN Tutor – Leicester Area
Teaching Personnel Tutor is currently recruiting compassionate and experienced SEN Tutors to support pupils across the Leicester area within home and school settings during school hours.
This rewarding role is ideal for educators who have experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and are passionate about delivering personalised learning tailored to each pupil’s individual needs.
Role Details
- Location: Leicester and surrounding areas
- Setting: Pupils’ homes or school settings
- Hours: During school hours
- Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate
- Age Groups: Primary and Secondary pupils
- Specialisms: Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, Anxiety, and other additional learning needs
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to SEN pupils
- Adapt teaching strategies to support individual learning styles and needs
- Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, parents, and schools
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Promote pupil confidence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK education sector
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
