Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Primary, Secondary & GCSE – Home & School Settings)
Location: Leicester and surrounding areas
Hours: School hours (flexible)
Contract Type: Part-time / Flexible
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across Leicester. This role involves delivering personalised, one-to-one sessions either in the pupil’s home or within a school setting during school hours.
You will be working with a mixed age group of primary, secondary, and GCSE students. Many pupils may require additional support, including SEND, SEMH needs, or those currently outside of mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Support pupils across primary, secondary, and GCSE levels
- Deliver core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations where required
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
- Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
- Track progress and provide regular feedback
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent, or at least 2 years’ UK teaching experience
- Experience working with primary and/or secondary students, including GCSE level
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and GCSE requirements
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH pupils
- PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
