Sen Tutor

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home or School-Based)
Location: Hinckley and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible, during school hours (typically 8:30am–3:30pm)
Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
We are seeking committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Hinckley area. This role involves delivering personalised, one-to-one education either in a pupil’s home or within a school setting, supporting young people who may need additional help outside of mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons based on individual pupil needs
• Support students with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, or those outside mainstream education
• Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
• Build positive and supportive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles)
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Ability to plan and deliver flexible and creative lessons
• Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Relevant qualifications (teaching, tutoring, or degree-level education preferred but not essential)
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
