Job description

SEN Tutor – Bath (Primary & Secondary)

Location: Bath (in-person tutoring)
Subjects: Maths & English (up to GCSE level)
Hourly Rate: £20–£30 (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Flexible hours – part-time or full-time opportunities

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition in Bath, supporting learners across primary and secondary levels. This role involves working with students who have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, PDA, and other neurodivergent profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored lessons in Maths and English (up to GCSE level)

  • Assess individual student needs and develop bespoke learning plans

  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and abilities

  • Build strong, supportive relationships to encourage progress and confidence

  • Monitor student development and adjust session content accordingly

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEN students (e.g. ASD, ADHD, PDA)

  • Confident teaching Maths and English across key stages (KS1–KS4)

  • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualised learning

  • Patient, empathetic, and flexible teaching style

  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
