SEN Teaching Personnel - Bury

We are currently looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant/Behaviour Mentor to join a friendly and supportive team in one of our great mainstream Primary schools in Bury (BL9), to work one-to-one and with small groups, providing classroom based support to children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties from the start in the first week of March 2019.
The ideal candidate:

You must be willing to provide help and support to children with Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Social and Emotional Mental Health and Learning Difficulties. Your role will consist in assisting the class teachers with children in need of additional support mainly in core subjects, but also helping out with their integration and emotional support.
Please note that certain candidates with sporting backgrounds and/or who have trained/worked in the army, police forces and/or the security sector have also previously been successful in similar roles thanks to their transferable skills, even with small to no experience within the education sector.

This position is well suited for a creative, compassionate, caring and patient candidate with a strong behaviour management, willing to develop their knowledge in the education and special needs sector. We highly recommend for graduates who are willing to make a career in education to apply.

This is a warm and inclusive, larger than average Bury (BL9) primary school in the heart of the local community. The schools community ethos focuses on pushing all children to reach their full potential and the Head teacher is looking for a teaching assistant to come in and promote the same school values.
The role is a full time ongoing position (Monday to Friday, school hours, term time only) to start early March (after the half term break).

If you would like to apply for this position, please send your up-to-date CV or call the Manchester West Primary Branch on 0161 242 1792.
