Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA2) – Full Time
Location: Accrington, Lancashire
School Type: Mainstream Primary School
Hours: Full Time – Term Time Only (School Hours)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Accrington.

About the Role:

As a TA2, you’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs. Your role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom to access learning

  • Implementing EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies

  • Building positive relationships with children, staff, and families

  • Helping to create an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment

We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)

  • A relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Strong communication skills and a patient, adaptable approach

  • A team player with a proactive and caring attitude

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
