Are you a dedicated and empathetic individual looking to make a real difference in primary education? Teaching Personnel is recruiting Temporary SEN Teaching Assistants (Supply Staff) for primary schools in Sydenham, starting January. This is a great opportunity to work in supportive, inclusive settings where every child is encouraged to thrive and feel valued — reflecting the ethos of compassion, community and inclusive learning common to primary schools in the area.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teachers in the classroom, assist with 1:1 and group activities, and help pupils with a range of mild to severe SEN needs. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where all pupils can access the curriculum and feel confident to learn and grow.

What the role involves:

  • Supporting classroom management and daily learning activities

  • Working with small groups and on 1:1 interventions

  • Assisting pupils with additional needs so they can participate fully

  • Helping to foster positive relationships and inclusive routines

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
