SEN Teaching Assistant - Oldham

SEN Teaching Assistant needed for a GOOD Primary School in Oldham (OL4)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teaching assistant to work on a full time basis in a slightly larger than average sized primary school. Teaching Personnel are working alongside this reputable Primary school to appoint a SEN Teaching assistant to start immediately. This large primary school has a very supportive environment for both students and staff. The school is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching assistant to support pupils with SEN, across both key stages. They are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant who will bring a positive working attitude.

The teaching is good and the relationships between staff and pupils are a major strength in this primary school. All lessons are carefully planned and are engaging for all pupils. There are a lower than average amount of SEN students within the school. The school uses Team Teach, so a team teach qualification would be an advantage but is not essential. The staff within the SEN department are highly skilled, very supportive and encourage all SEN students successfully.

The successful candidate will have experience working with SEN children within an educational background. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support SEN students in a 1:1/ small group basis within a class. They may also assist in interventions, as well as booster classes.

Overview:

  • Full time SEN Teaching Assistant role to support students with SEN, across both key stages
  • School located in Oldham with excellent accessibility
  • Pay of up to ÂŁ350 a week with the possibility of a fixed term contract after the initial supply period

If you are interested in this role, please send you CV and covering letter Alternatively, please call Grace in the Manchester North Primary Branch on 0161 242 1790.
