1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Aycliffe
Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Aycliffe.
The Role
You will work closely with a pupil on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored support to help them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. This role involves collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs
- Adapt learning activities to suit individual abilities
- Support emotional regulation and social development
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff
- Foster a safe, engaging, and encouraging atmosphere
