Do you love helping children shine and reach their full potential? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive, and vibrant primary school in Cardiff.

This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Reception, helping them to settle into school life, access learning, and thrive both socially and emotionally. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement support strategies and ensure the child’s individual needs are met in a nurturing, positive environment.

The school has a warm and supportive team who are passionate about inclusion and making learning fun for all pupils. Staff are valued, well-supported, and work collaboratively to create a caring, community-focused atmosphere.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with additional learning needs (SEN)

  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach

  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young children

  • A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team

Details:

  • Location: Cardiff (excellent public transport links, no on-site parking)

  • Role: Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 in Reception)

  • Start: ASAP or after half term

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
