SEN Teaching Assistant
Tameside

  • Full time role (term time only) commencing in September 2019
  • Working hours : 8:45am - 3:15pm
  • Competitive pay rate - up to £1350+ per month
  • Introduction to an Ofsted graded Good secondary school in Tameside

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our client schools high-achieving, successful and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs department. The successful Teaching Assistant will be required in September on an ongoing basis with the potential to continue in the New Year.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs in class and on a 1:1 basis and will support a particular student with an Educational Health Care Plan. Prior experience of supporting students with SEN is essential for this role and experience of supporting students with social communication difficulties would also be desirable but is not essential.

Our partner school is an oversubscribed, 11-16, mixed comprehensive school and is situated in Tameside to the east of Manchester and is close to the borders with Stockport and the Peak District. The school offers excellent facilities, a friendly and supportive environment and opportunities for professional development. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged to be good in all areas including quality of teaching, behaviour of pupils and leadership and management.
