SEN Teaching Assistant

A mainstream secondary school requires a specialist teaching assistant to start in September to support a student transitioning into year 7. As well as supporting in lessons on a 1:1 basis, the successful canddiate will also spend time in the inclusion zone supporting other students with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties.

This school is located centrally in Plymouth with good public transport links, so driving isn't essential for this role. 

The successful Teaching Assistant will need:

• Recent experience supporting children and young adults with learning difficulties
• Have strong relationship skills and build rapport with pupils
• To be flexible and reliable
• Ideally having worked in an education environment
