We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants/Behaviour Support Mentors for temporary and permanent roles in Plymouth.
We are looking for candidates who are interested in working with children between the ages of 11-17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in a highly supportive environment with aims, structures and curriculum designed to achieve the full potential of all students.
As a Teaching Assistant you must be willing to take on this exciting challenge with a highly motivated attitude in providing the best care and support to the children and families. You must be able to easily adapt to situations, attentive and communicate effectively within your team in order to maintain the high level of standards expected.
The role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year- there is the potential to be taken onto a permanent contract. It is full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm term time only.
Minimum Requirements
- Any relevant SEN/Autism experience or qualifications is desired
- A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
- A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service
- Good interpersonal skills and confidence
- Punctual and reliable

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of GBP40, plus an annual subscription fee of GBP13 for the Update Service.
