SEN Teaching Assistant – Stockton-On-Tees

Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a Primary School based in Stockton-On-Tees. This is an opportunity to join a thriving class where there is a requirement for a Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a SEN student who can display complex behaviours. The School were rated ‘Good’ in their most recent Ofsted report and pride themselves in their engaging environment. They take pride in their equal opportunities by providing a curriculum that is inclusive of all abilities.

The role requires:

  • Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • A resilient, patient and committed attitude
  • Experience working with children who have mild to moderate learning difficulties
  • Ability to travel to the school for a 8:30am start and 15:45pm finish

Essentials:

  • Valid DBS (A Child Workforce that is accessible through the Update Service)
  • Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)
  • Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Qualification or equivalent
