Job description

A great opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a large CofE academy.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant required from September 2020
  • Fixed term contract for 12 months initially (introduction to a permanent role)
  • Supporting students with additional needs in the classroom
  • Large CofE academy in the Middleton area of Rochdale
  • Earn up to GBP1400 per month (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Our partner school is located in Middleton, just a short drive from the M60 motorway and close to several public transport amenities. The school itself is set in a state of the art and modern building with over 700 students currently receiving an excellent education. Prospective candidates will ideally have experience of working alongside young people previously and will be expected to support students across the range of subjects in the curriculum. Many of these students will have additional needs such as Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs or behaviour complexities.

The SEN department at this successful secondary academy has a proven track record of successfully closing the gap between disadvantaged students and their peers through successful support plans and intervention in key areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
