SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you looking for work as support staff within a school?

Do you live in East London?

Are you looking to start work immediately?

I am working with a primary special needs school in East London which caters mostly for students with Autism but also have classes for students with severe and complex needs including wheelchair users. Classes typically have a class teacher and 3 or 4 teaching assistants, with a maximum of 10 students in a class.

This school currently have opportunities for agency staff to work on a flexible, part time, day to day basis. You can accept full days teaching assistant work (08:30am – 15:30pm) 

You must meet the following criteria to work at this school through Teaching Personnel:

  • Have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to complete a new application
  • Excellent references from your two most recent employers
  • Ability to provide personal care for students
  • A proactive attitude to get involved with the students
  • Experience of working with children – either in a school setting or similar
  • Immediate availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
