The School and Job Teaching Personnel have a long standing relationship with this School in Reading. They cater for boys and girls with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs with additional special needs such as Autism and Complex Learning Needs who have either been excluded from mainstream education, or are unable to access mainstream education. The School has an in-house team of qualified therapists offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration.
You will be working as a Teaching Assistant responsible for supporting termly topics across the class of 4-8 students and also 1:1 support.
Minimum Requirements - Any relevant SEN/Autism experience or qualifications is desired, however not essential so please still apply.
A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential - Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support - A Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or one done through Teaching Personnel - Good interpersonal skills and confidence - Punctual and reliable - Enjoys a challenge
Personality:
The most important thing for candidates to possess is a confident personality. Candidates with no experience will still be suitable for the position, so long as they can be engaging and pro-active when working with learners at the school. The ability to build positive relationships with students is the most valuable attribute a candidate can have for this role.

Candidates are required to work full time 8.30am-15:30pm depending on training days.
