SEN Teaching Assistant
Full-Time, Long Term Position
£10.20 - 11.20 p/h

Job Specifications
A long-term opportunity has arisen for a qualified teaching assistant with experience of supporting an individual with special educational needs.
This role is to work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil who is diagnosed with ADHD, the pupil is demonstrating behavioural difficulties and is performing below the expected grade. The school are wanting to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who can help the pupil with strong behaviour management techniques and help the pupil concentrate to access the school curriculum.
The school has excellent public transport links and a secure car park. It is located near the city centre of Preston. The school has above national average levels of pupils accessing Pupil Premium and above national average levels of pupils with SEN or EAL. The school are very supportive of all its staff and are keen to appoint somebody who will fit in to the school support team straight away.
Job Requirements
- Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or above
- Strong behaviour management
- Experience of providing support within a primary school setting
- Experience of supporting individuals with SEN
- Ability to build strong working relationships in a school setting
- Expected to attend staff meetings and CPD opportunities (twilights)
- Experience working alongside children behaviour in a primary setting.
