SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a hard working, empathetic, enthusiastic and flexible Teaching Assistant for a number of the short term roles that are arising on a weekly basis. 

The school we work with is based in Leyland and they often call upon us for short term supply staff to cover Teaching Assistants that are on leave or self isolating. 

The school is an SEN provision and caters specifically for pupils with additional needs including; Autism, ADHD, ODD, SEMH Difficulties and Learning Difficulties. The school are looking to appoint a hard working Teaching Assistant for their cover needs in school. On occasion, you may be expected to provide 1:1 support for children who require personal care, which includes toileting and feeding. 

The role will likely be full time, although it may be on an ad-hoc basis, at least initially. Therefore, candidates must be flexible and adaptable if applying for this role. 

The role would be suited to a candidate who has experience supporting children with additional needs and candidates must be confident in working with pupils who are often disengaged from education. 

Pay will be a daily rate of GBP65 - 75 per day, dependent on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
