At the request of a partner school, Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an outstanding SEN Teaching Assistant to bolster the school's SEN provision for their pupils. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone with an SEN background looking to get into the mainstream education system, or anyone who is looking to progress their career with a view to eventually becoming a SENCO.
The role will be on a Full Time basis, initially until the end of this calendar year, but with the potential to turn permanent for the right candidate. The school are looking to interview ASAP for an expected Easter 2020 start.
Experience working with a variety of Special Educational Needs including (but not limited to) Autism, ADD, Downs Syndrome, MLD, SEMH and Hearing Impairment would be highly beneficial. This is not an exhaustive list and can change with the influx of new students. Any specific SEN experience is more than welcome.
The successful candidate must have experience with some of the following:
- Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
- Confidence supporting children and young people with different types of SEN
- Previous experience as a Care / Support Worker
- Work within a Specialist Provision or SEN school
