Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hengrove
Salary: £57-65 per day
Teaching Personnel are seeking a teaching assistant for a lovely and well-run ASD Resource Base attached to an excellent primary school in Hengrove. This resource base has two classes of maximum of 10 students that all have 1:1 support or is 1:2. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be joining a really supportive team and a really positive working environment. This role requires an enthusiastic, engaging and passionate Teaching Assistant who will be able to make a positive contribution to the continuing development of the school. You will become a vital part of a friendly and motivated team that our passionate about enriching children's learning experience. This school requires the ideal candidate to have experience of working with children with Autism and ideally within a Resource Base or Special School provision
Your Duties as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Resource Base Teaching Assistant for pupils statemented to the ASD Specialist Resource Base
* Liaising with the SENCO and class teacher to ensure positive opportunities for inclusion.
* To liaise with parents/carers make and report observations
* To work with statemented children's EHCP's and provide the best learning experience
You will be supporting the class teacher in delivering stimulating and inspiring lessons to the whole class as well as leading engaging activities on a 1:1 basis or within small groups.
