Teaching Assistant / SEN Support
Teaching Personnel are eagerly seeking to employ an enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant to work within an SEN school in Romford.
We are looking for a dedicated, committed teaching assistant who is committed to supporting children and young people who have experienced difficulty in lessons. This will include helping students develop confidence, skills and knowledge to believe that they can be successful in their own lives.
TA / Pastoral Support Responsibilities
- Be a role model to students showing resilience, leadership and empathy.
- Follow guidance and take direction from teachers and other professionals such as the SENDCo to best support each student.
- Communicate effectively and sensitively to build relationships with students and their families to ensure each student’s needs are best met and to help improve their learning behaviours.
- Have a good working knowledge of barriers to learning many of our students face, such as SEND or SEMH needs.
- Support students with literacy and numeracy.
