Youth Worker Teaching Assistants needed for Behaviour School in North West London

**Youth Worker Teaching Assistant – Neasden – Youth Worker Teaching Assistant – Brent Cross – Youth Worker Teaching Assistant  – Wembley – ASAP – as soon as possible **

GBP70- GBP90 daily rate - PAYE

A lively Mainstream school in North West London are looking for experienced behaviour teaching assistants to work in KS4 class supporting pupils with complex challenging behavioural needs; this will be for an immediate start with prospects for professional development! For the successful candidate there is the view to secure a permanent contract.

They are looking for at least 2 of the following qualities:

  • Previous experience working in a PRU or alternative provision
  • Graduate (Sociology, Sports, Criminology or Psychology)
  • Experienced Youth or Community Support Worker
  • Support workers  from mental health facilities or high risk secure units
  • Sports coaches looking to transfer skills in supporting vulnerable young pupils’ education
  • Confident , resilient , positive personality

The post is to start in the coming weeks and you will be required to commit to working full-time during term time until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff.  The school caters for pupils that are of a challenging nature so you will have a good understanding to work with students that have emotional, behavioural needs, be of a positive, nurturing, confident personality. You will work closely with your colleagues  to work cohesively to support challenging  students in KS4 adopting a therapeutic approach  to encourage  learners to manage their emotions ,  overcome their  barriers to learning, as well as  improve  their social and communication skills to further their education prospects .

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
