A mainstream Primary school based in Stretford (M16) is looking for a teaching assistant who has at least 1 years’ experience of working on a 1:1 basis with individuals with physical disabilities.

The role is full time and you maybe required to assist with the personal care and manual handling.

Main Responsibilities include;

• Working on a 1 to 1 basis to provide personal support to the child
• Ensure pupil can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills
• You must have a patient and calming nature and a developed knowledge and understanding of the particular needs of the child
• May be elements of personal care
• Good working knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Be able to actively promote and assist safe learning
• Previous experience working with physical disabilities
• Working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide, to motivate and enable pupil to achieve

This role requires candidates to be proactive. It is a full time role, 5 days a week and will run for the duration of the Autumn term. There is a possibility of this role being extended for the right candidate
