SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching assistant to support in an OFSTED 'Outstanding' rated primary school in the Trafford area for pupils who experience severe or profound difficulties in learning. The school supports the growth and development of pupils aged 2-11 and is responsible for devising personalised curriculums for the achievement of each child. In addition to this, the schools have a multi-professional approach to their pupils by providing speech, language and physiotherapists combined with creative approaches from musicians and sports coaches. All of this is then further supplemented with high range equipment targeted at SEN pupils including soft rooms and hydrotherapy pools. The school require a Teaching assistant to match their ethos and values so the ideal candidate should have:

• A patient, calm and caring personality
• Experience of working with SEN environment particularly with experience severe or profound difficulties in learning including Autism
• A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with both pupils and parents

The school is located in the Flixton area of Trafford and has excellent public transport links particularly by train and bus within a few minutes walk of the school.
