SEN Teaching Assistant

Our client secondary school located in the heart of Stretford is looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their on-site provision, known as The Hub. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working with high functioning students with a variety of needs including Autism, SEN and behavioural challenges.

This is a full time SEN Teaching Assistant role starting as soon as possible given the pending long-term absence of one of the school’s permanent Teaching Assistants. Any Teaching Assistants who have relevant experience from a support capacity, care work or in a school setting are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.

The school is a relatively small school but takes pride in providing a well resourced and supportive provision for students with special educational needs. The on-site separate provision has it’s on Lead teacher as well as 2 other teachers that run alternative provision and an alternative curriculum for students.

This small secondary school is located in the heart of Stretford making it very easy to access for any SEN Teaching Assistants travelling from the areas of Chorlton, Stretford, Didsbury or nearby. The school services the local area of Urmston and Sale so any Teaching Assistants travelling here, will find the school easy to commute to.

The role itself as mentioned will involve working with students identified as having additional needs. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to support the hub teachers as well as work with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis as required. Any relevant experience is highly desirable so please ensure you highlight this on your application and CV.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
