SEN(D) Teaching Assistant

An SEN higher education institution based in Yeovil is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

 

The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing amazing support to pupils ages 11-16 years old, with different types of SEND needs such as:

  • Autism and other learning difficulties
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities
  • Behaviour and Emotional Needs
  • A broad range of Complex Needs, including Medical Needs

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual
  • SEND and SEMH experience
  • Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies

 

Working Hours/Benefits:

  • Full Time, Part Time and Flexible applicants will be considered for this role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
