SEN Teaching Assistant – Yeovil


Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary: £13.74/hour
Start Date: ASAP

 

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Yeovil, supporting pupils aged 4–19 with a range of complex needs including PMLD, SLD, ASC, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with diverse SEN requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and senior leaders to create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care and implement positive behaviour strategies.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with SEN in educational or care settings.
  • Comfortable with personal care and working across age groups.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resilient approach.

 

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Full-time and part-time roles available (must be able to work full school days).
  • Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri: 08:40–15:30 | Wed: 08:40–15:45

  • 12.07% holiday pay | Term-time only
