Role: SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant – Warrington-based primary school (WA4)
Start Date:
Immediate Start
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary (with the possibility of becoming permanent)

A welcoming primary school in Warrington (WA4) is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping children access learning, build resilience, and thrive in a caring, structured environment.

Working in partnership with teachers, the SENCO and wider staff team, you will help to deliver strategies that promote inclusion, positive behaviour, and academic progress.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).
  • Ideally has a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification, or has significant relevant experience.
  • Brings experience of supporting children with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs.
  • Demonstrates patience, consistency, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understands safeguarding responsibilities and is confident in applying them.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
