Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Warrington
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Temporary until the end of the academic year
Salary: £95 - £110 per day

A secondary school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team on a full-time basis from September. This role has become available to support the learning of a Year 9 pupil with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Key Details:

  • Full-time role supporting a named student with ASC in Year 9.
  • Competitive pay – potential to earn £95 - £105 per day.
  • Start date: Immediately after the Easter holidays.
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for a Child Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service)
  • Experience supporting children with ASC is essential.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the school’s SENCO and teaching staff to ensure that the identified pupil receives consistent support both inside and outside the classroom. This is a temporary contract for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent post for the right person.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one in-class and out-of-class support
  • Assisting the pupil in managing routines, transitions, and learning tasks
  • Monitoring and promoting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SEN department to ensure progress and wellbeing
  • Helping to create a safe and supportive learning environment
