Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their school experience?

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties
  • Work 1:1 with students who require additional support, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning resources
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all learners
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
