The Role – Teaching Assistant (PMLD&SLD)
We are working with a school for children with Severe Learning Difficulties aged 2-19 year. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated PMLD & SLD Teacher. The school has been ranked outstanding by OFSTED for the past 21 years.
SEN teaching assistant duties:
- Support pupils with SEN in the classroom and during break/lunchtime activities
- Maintain the classroom equipment in a safe and tidy condition
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Assisting the class teacher
- Provide teaching and learning support
What We’re Looking For
- Experience or strong training background in SEN or PMLD settings.
- Deep understanding of complex learning challenges and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children with additional needs.
- Have previous experience working with SEN children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
