Pay: £14.25 – £15.25 per hour (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant ready for a new opportunity this September? Teaching Personnel is partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Speke, looking to appoint committed SEN TAs to support their expanding provision.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Join a dedicated SEN support team, working across the school (primarily KS1)
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning challenges
  • Deliver targeted interventions and adapt classroom activities to suit individual learning styles
  • Support EHCP targets and implement effective behaviour strategies
  • Promote independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

This is a dynamic and rewarding role, offering variety and the opportunity to support different pupils while working within a strong, supportive team.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have proven experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting
  • Are confident delivering 1:1 support
  • Have primary school experience (desirable)
  • Are patient, resilient, and proactive in their approach
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Have a solid understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent – desirable)
