SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Part Time, 3–4 Days)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs to thrive in school? Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner secondary schools on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week).

This role is a fantastic opportunity to build meaningful relationships and provide dedicated support to a student who requires extra help with their learning. You’ll be working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure the pupil can fully access lessons and school life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a student with SEND.

• Assist in the delivery of learning activities, adapting resources where required.

• Encourage positive behaviour and help develop social and emotional skills.

• Liaise with teachers, SENCOs and parents to track and celebrate progress.

• Provide encouragement, patience, and resilience to help the student achieve their potential.

We are looking for:

• Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors or Support Workers with experience in SEN.

• Graduates aspiring to careers in education, psychology, or youth support.

• Patient, empathetic and confident individuals who want to make a difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
