SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive and well-resourced specialist school (school name not disclosed).
The school provides a calm, nurturing and holistic approach to learning, ensuring every child feels valued, understood and encouraged to reach their potential.
This role is based within the primary age group (5 to 11 years).
Working hours are 8.45am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an essential part of the classroom team, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis
-
Helping deliver creative and structured learning activities
-
Encouraging communication, independence and confidence
-
Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff

What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must:
-
Have a minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, ideally supporting young people in an educational, care or SEN setting
-
Be patient, calm, proactive and keen to make a positive impact

Hold a driving licence, as the school is not easily accessible by public transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
