Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a primary school in Reading, UK. If you have a caring nature and a desire to support students in their learning journey, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with special educational needs (SEN)

  • Assist with personal care where required

  • Help implement individual learning plans (IEPs)

  • Support students with emotional and behavioural needs

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

  • Work alongside teachers and other support staff to ensure every child’s needs are met

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting (though not essential)

  • Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to support children's development

  • Good communication skills with students and staff

  • Team player with a flexible, adaptable approach

  • A level of understanding of the SEN Code of Practice is beneficial

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
