SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a committed and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary special educational needs provision in Preston. This role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, giving the right person the chance to become a valued, long-term member of the team.
The position involves working with children who have a variety of additional needs, including social, emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties. You will provide support both in and out of the classroom, working 1:1 with pupils as well as assisting in small groups. Your role will include helping to adapt learning activities, encouraging independence, building positive relationships, and ensuring each child feels safe, supported and ready to learn.

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

Have previous experience of working with children, ideally those with SEN.

Are patient, nurturing and resilient, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Can communicate effectively with both children and staff, and work well as part of a team.

Are committed to supporting the individual needs of each child and helping them to reach their potential.

Hold relevant qualifications or are willing to undertake training to develop their skills further.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
